New blog. Not on Xanga anymore. Here's the address...

| You're looking at a happy camper right now. I found a job. Not a wacky job with crazy hours like 4am to noon, but a normal job with normal hours. 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. It thrills me to no end. Plus, it's an office job as a receptionist/secretary kind of person. I've got my own desk, chair, and computer. I went today for an interview and they hired me on the spot. Everyone was extremely cool. And the bonus: they have two little office dogs. They belong to the owners of the company and they just sorta run around the office during the day. So, I'm getting almost 2 more bucks an hour at this job than the last one. Plus, it's a better schedule. I start on Wednesday of next week. Yaaa! | | |
| I have plans. Plans, plots, and schemes.
I don't think I can handle another full month of getting up for work at 3am. That's a little early for me. I'm the kind of owl that goes to bed at 3. So, I'm in the search for a new job. If you can hook me up with a job with normal hours, then by all means do so. I'll kiss your feet or something like that. Why the search for a job? Well, I think my financial aid for college got screwed up in the process of transferring from one school to another. So, I do believe I'll just sit out for a semester or two, make some moolah and then go back when I'm good and ready.
Nothing new on my front other than that. I've been listening to a band called Hot Rod Circuit. They're cool. I've discovered my love of Vandel Hearts, a PlayStation game. I've realized that Blimpie rocks because they have great veggie subs and Quiznos is probably the most disgusting place I've ever eaten before. I've come to the conclusion that VH1 just shows movies "that rock" to take up air time so they don't have to play something interesting. I've been visiting a couple message boards on the internet and realized that people are still as immature and dumb as they are when I stop visiting them a year or two ago. I've learned how to change a flat tire. And discovered a renewed love of mint chocolate chip ice cream.
That's all folks. | | |
| And here is another sporatic post from yours truly. Not much new news to say. I did go to Vegas over the 4th of July weekend. It was interesting...very different than other places I've been. Not that I've been to all that many anyway. We stayed at the Hilton and went sight-seeing. Not much gambling was done with the exception of a few games of Keno. It only took me a few games to realize that it was a dumb game 'cause I kept loosing. Great logic, huh?
This work schedule is a weird thing. I went to work at 4 this morning...got off work at 8:30...came home and took a 2 hour nap...got up and had lunch. Now I have the rest of the day to do with as I please. Right now I'm tackling the laundry. Oh, the fun. I gave up on day-time television. Yawn.
I got bored a few days ago and started an Otis Redding website. It isn't on the internet...just hidden away on my laptop. Perhaps when it is presentable I will upload it and post a link to it for anyone who cares.
Uh, oh...the dryer just buzzed at me. I should go. Duty calls. I hope everyone is doing well.
| More than likely no one reads this blog anymore. I've been gone so long that you all probably came to the conclusion that I've abandoned Xanga and all its lovely inhabitants. Well, I haven't. Not completely anyway. I just don't spend so much time online now as opposed to before. I'm working between 6 and 8 hours a day at a donut shop making donuts and all that cool (questionable) stuff. I've been splitting my sleep up. Three to four hours at night, then I have to get up at 3am to get to work by 4. I work until 10am or noon. Then back home to have lunch and sleep more. Usually I sleep until 5 or so. That's when Jason gets home from work. We spend the rest of the evening together and repeat the process the next day. So young, yet already stuck in a routine. The weekends are fun though. I don't have to work on Saturday or Sunday.
So, as you can see...not much time for online fun and mischief. I hope everyone is doing well without yours truly.
I've been exploring the city a bit. Finding out where things are. I even went to a bar on my birthday. Oh, the joys of turning 21. I didn't order any sort of drink...just water. Yeah, I know...I'm as boring as they come. Anywho...it was interesting.
If anyone has a copy of that great cartoon from the '80s, Twice Upon a Time, then you should send it to me. It was on TV here over the weekend, but it was on one of the Spanish channels. They dubbed it in Spanish and I'd much rather see it in English, por favor. I looked for it on E-Bay, but had no luck.
I'm going to go do a radio show overnight on Friday with Jason. It should be much fun. It's one of those things where they hand the station over to him for 4 hours and he can play whatever he wants without commercials.
Well, I should be going. I think a nap is in order for this afternoon so I don't fall over dead by 8 tonight.
